Annual Children’s Ministry Event
The Methodist church is to hold their Annual event ‘Soul Mates’ in our Parish church this year from 2 – 4 March 2012. This is a major children’s event which is growing in popularity each year for children from the Methodist church’s all over Ireland. They have offered to lead our 10.30 am Family service which has now been rearranged for Sunday 4 March instead of the normal third Sunday of the month for March only. We will have over 400 children and adults worshipping with us at this service so please come along and encourage these young people.
Please note that the Parochial Hall will not be open for Sunday School (KFJ and JJC) on Sunday 4 March but will resume as normal from Sunday 11 March.
A five week Marriage Preparation Course begins on Wednesday 29 February until Wednesday 28 March from 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm at the Jethro Centre. For more information contact Joy Stevenson (tel 3832 7555).
John McIlvenna from Operation Mobilisation (OM) will be speaking at ARISE on Sunday 26 February about the work they do. If interested please come along on the evening.
The ‘Mustard Seed’ ministry has arisen out of our Vision process and our heartfelt desire reach those who are lonely or isolated within our community. We are hosting our second ‘Mustard Seed’ lunch in Mournview Community Centre on Thursday 23 February at 12.30 pm. Our aim is to provide fellowship and friendship over a hot meal. Everyone is warmly invited to come along but please pick up a free meal ticket from Mourneview Community Centre so we know how many to cater for! Further details are available from the Parish Office, or speak to Revs Geoff Wilson or Clare Kakuru
